Big Jim now lives in California but was born and raised in “Sweet Home” Alabama and has eaten boiled peanuts from every region of the South. Even though all were good, some were much better than others and he knows what it takes to make the tastiest peanuts you’ve ever had.
In fact, Big Jim boiled 1,500 pounds of peanuts for the University of Georgia Alumni Tailgate Party at the 2016 Rose Bowl in Pasadena! The boiled peanuts were so good they were convinced it was a Georgia boy who’d done the boiling…ROLL TIDE!!!
How did Big Jim go from boiling to frying peanuts, you ask? About 5 years ago, a buddy in California asked Big Jim if he’d ever heard of peanuts that were fried in the shell. Jim had not heard of them, nor had any of this friends in the South. He investigated and starting frying them immediately. He knew he had a hit when he gave samples to everyone he knew and they LOVED them.
